Consequently, those who work for higher education institutions face more and more pressure as those institutions expect more on their performance in teaching, research and services. Hence, the impact of the work pressure on the performance of professors is worthy of investigation. In this thesis, we mainly use emotional intelligence as a variable to investigate how it affects the work pressure, pressure reaction and performance and to adjust the work stress of them. To acquire more understanding of this, we conduct a comprehensive investigation among professors in public and private institutions. We received 426 filled questionnaires. We reach the following conclusions: 1.There is a positive correlation between the work pressure and the physical reaction. The analysis shows the work pressure and the mental reaction are correlated. However, this correlation can be positive or negative. 2.The analysis shows the work pressure and the individual performance can be positively or negatively correlated. 3.The interaction between the emotional intelligence and the work pressure has impact on the stress reaction. This impact can be positive or negative. Yun-Shi Liu 劉韻僖 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 109 zh-TW |
