How to plan a curriculum for fulfilling vocational field demands is quietly urgent. Core curriculum is the most important and only continuous course of curriculum structure, which can cultivate necessary professional knowledge and abilities but not optional abilities. This study aims to propose a new curriculum model that can conform to the demands of industrial development in Taiwan. This study consists of 4 parts: 1) collecting teaching materials of core curriculum in Taiwan for further analysis and knowing applied states; 2) calculating pages and sorting by its contents, that helps sorting and interpreting contents for future planning; 3) generalizing the present curriculum directions and providing suggestions to fix the disadvantages of present curriculum. Finally, this processes a new core curriculum draft of industrial design according to the results of textbooks analysis. The Result shows that the most frequently used materials is「Product Design: A practical guide to systematic methods of new product development」. Design examples, forms summary and express methods are the most-pages 3 items. The final content of curriculum confirms to the vocational demands according to references and results from material analysis, includes chapters and sections, which plans more units for the disavantades of present materials. Besides, simplizeing curriculum units is also another method to make education purposes and core competencies more practiceable.
