Description
Summary:碩士 === 台南應用科技大學 === 生活應用科學研究所 === 99 === Taiwan is located in subtropical with warm climate, abundant sunshine and rain. In this environment, various condition from regions also bring different characteristics to plants such as forms, colors, textures, shapes and other visual expressions. Wisteria is one of the rare plants in Taiwan. With slender vines, gradient purple on flowers and blooming flowers in a cluster flowing with the wind, its beautiful appearance attracts viewers’ attention totally. Because of these outstanding forms, wisteria was selected for this research as the source of inspiration. Collars are usually the first to be noted when people have eye contact because they are so close to faces. The innovation of collar in fashion design has become a research topic worthy of further exploration. Therefore the innovation of collar will be the main focus in this research. The primitive clothing was originated from natural materials such as animal skin and bark by neanderthal people. It was evolved into the modern clothing later on.Nature elements to clothing are not limited for materials, but also give inspirations. The biomimetical design shows a high degree of sense of taste and agility. Since human has been with nature in the first place, the biomimetical design can give viewers familiar but totally fresh feelings. Therefore this research has selected wisteria as the source of inspiration for biomimetical design by applying wisteria''s growth patterns and the appearances to the creation of the collars and the development of series works. The study found that through the conversion of natural elements sizes, it creates special and memorable designs. Also, by applying paper-cutting techniques in clothing design with retaining line cuts only, it shows good interpretation of the composition. Conclusively, we expect that the concept of plant design application on collars will be used as biomimetical future reference.
