The purpose of this study is to investigate beverages intake behavior and its influential factors of sixth grade students of elementary schools. The subjects of this study are sixth grade students of elementary schools in Tainan city. The research tool is a questionnaire with the topic of beverages intake behavior and health. By using stratified random sampling method, 417 students were selected for this study and 381 valid questionnaires were collected. t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient and Scheffé method were applied to analyze the data. The major findings were as follows:
1. The sequence of frequency of beverages consumption of students is boiled water, tea and dairy product, respectively. Parents and teachers play key roles in beverages consumption of students.
2. In topic of “habits of beverages consumption”, most students agreed that "playing on the computer or the internet, I will drink". There are higher percentages of "beverages drinking habits" in boys, consciousness of obesity and more pocket money groups, (p<0.05).
3. In topic of “environmental factors”, most students agreed that "my family have the habits of beverages consumption." As to "convenience of gain of beverages ", there is significant difference between boys and girls, (p<0.05).
4. In topic of “knowledge about beverages”, girls have better performance(p<0.05). There are negative correlation between "knowledge about beverages " and " time mode of beverages consumption ", " depend on beverages ", " habits of beverages consumption " and environmental factors of beverages consumption(r= -0.22,-0.18,-0.21,-0.06).
5. There are positive correlation between " BMI " and " depend on beverages ", and " BMI " and " habits of beverages consumption ", respectivcly(r = .19,.16).
