Men’s tailoring structure and style were derived from the Western countries, therefore, the research will review the literature and discuss men’s suits changes. By Delhi Method, the opinions were collected from experts to understand the state in modern men’s suit whether able to apply in Taiwan men’s suits industry.
Modern men suits originated from the 17th century with three pieces with combination; it became the same way in the 18th century, such as for evening dress, morning coat and others. The research will show the expert generally agreed with the change in men’s suits, in order to applied the change of modern design for men’s suits, though all the designers think the suit master is said by apprenticeship to learn the fundamental skill, then to Japan, UK, Shanghai, Germany and others associated to learn different technical from others countries. In Taiwan, the main sewing and tailoring techniques are from Japan, UK, China, Germany and other different countries.The creation of Taiwan men’s suits design will show the innovative to the worldwide accordingly by the trend, living styles, cultures, economics, entertainments or fashion magazines and other impacts.
