Although imbued with professional medical knowledge and ability, they are not given much attention in the health care system. Nursing staff mainly serve patients and contact with patients for a long period. Facing the birth, senility, illness, death, coupled with the heavy work, they physically and mentally bear great stress or emotional turning point and become the barrier to good physician-client relationship. When the nursing staff lack positive mood, it is bound to affect the service quality of job performance and thus to doubt their own working ability; they will be unsatisfied with their work and affect their mood, resulting in a vicious cycle. The work of nursing staff covers four situational constructs, namely job satisfaction, job performance, positive mood and self-efficacy, the relationship between which had not been verified in the past. Therefore, the relationships between these four variables are the key to be explored. This study collected the data of self-efficacy, positive mood, job satisfaction and job performance by nursing staff’s self-rating scale and sent a total of 400 questionnaires, among which 339 questionnaires are valid and return rate is 84.75%. Structural equation modeling was employed to analyze the impact on job satisfaction and job performance by self-efficacy and positive mood. The results showed that job satisfaction could enhance job performance through positive mood; job performance could increase self-efficacy through job satisfaction; self-efficacy could affect job performance through positive mood. There is cyclic causal relationship in the above three factors. Cheng-liang Yang 楊承亮 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 53 zh-TW
