In the present, elders account for 10.63% of the domestic population and are still on the increase. In other words, the demand for emergency services among community-dwelling elders is expected to grow in the future. In order to enhance the efficiency and quality of emergency care, information technology should be effectively utilized to integrate backhauls between medical systems and facilities, strengthen human-centered designs, and maximize overall performance of the care system. The improvement in quality of emergency care and survival rate is an important foundation for better life and health of all people. Through integrated application of medical information systems and information communication technology, this paper proposes a WiMAX-based emergency care system according to public demands for convenience, speed, safety, and human-centeredness of emergency care. This system consists of a Service Center for Health Care, Emergency Medical Hospitals, and Emergency Ambulances. Based on the wireless transmission capability of WiMAX, it can send patients’ physiological data through the backhaul of measurement facilities to the emergency room and enable emergency room doctors to provide online instructions on emergency treatment via webcams. Hence, it helps emergency care staff get hold of critical moments and offer active emergency care services. Shing-Han Li 李興漢 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 73 zh-TW |
