The respiratory syncytial virus depends on antigenicity of its G protein, separable A, B two subgroups. Two subgroup biological differences still not very clear, but the clinical symptom was difference. In Taiwan , respiratory syncytial virus infection majority is subgroup A, and A subgroup infection condition will be more serious. ML tree show that the Taibei area infants respiratory syncytial virus A subgroup , 90~ 93 years crowds is differences with 97 ~ 99 years crowds, the NJ tree to confirm this result , bootstrap value are bigger than 70 have confidence to support this conclusion. By ML, NJ, and the sequence interpret know during 93 years, the respiratory syncytial virus has the obvious variation in the gene. This research discovery in the Taipei area respiratory syncytial virus has been by a subgroup A, demonstrated with the Gao (2004) findings, A subgroup 74.18%, B subgroup 25.82% match cases. This research demonstrated that the Taipei area A subgroup 93 years take GA5 primarily GA2 and GA7 as auxiliary, 94 years later only has GA2 to be popular.
