Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北巿立體育學院 === 運動科學研究所 === 99 === The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of low dose ginsenoside-compound K administration on resistance exercise-induced muscle damage and inflammation. Sixteen active young male subjects were voluntary participated in this crossover study, and divided into placebo and compound K trials. The subjects were supplemented with placebo or compound K (1 ng/kg bw) for six days. 24 h after the last treatment, all subjects were performed an acute high intensity resistance training. The squat training protocol consisted 6 sets with 6 repetitions. The result shows that resistance exercise significantly increased the plasma creatine kinase activity, white blood cells count and sympathetic nervous activity. The pain threshold and parasympathetic nervous activity reduce after exercise. But the alternations were attenuated in compound K received subjects. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that low dose compound K pretreatment can reduce resistance exercise-induced muscle damage, inflammation and change in heart rate variability.
