Essentials of batting motions were also investigated by technical analyses. Methods: Subjects were 6 female elite college softball players. A high speed camera (250Hz) was used to shoot swinging and batting motions of subjects. The batting kinematic parameters were analyzed by Kwon 3D software, and batting motions of each stage were analyzed by technical analyses. Results: The softball batting movements start from the lower extremity to the trunk to increase upper limb velocity. The proximal parts were faster than the distal parts which was in line with the principle of kinetic chain and similar with the gear rotate and the whip effect. Conclusion: In the present study, results of the kinematic analyses were similar to the actual swinging movements. The joint velocity, acceleration, angular velocity and angular acceleration of upper limbs were found to be the fastest during batting through kinematic analyses.
