| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 劇場藝術研究所表演組 === 99 === The Singapore playwright and director Kuo Pao Kun produced 0zero01 with four actors--Cindy Sim, Zai Kuning, Kut Ali, Jalyn Han. This piece was premiered at the Substation Theatre in December 1991 for seven performances. It was revived at the University of Western Australia’s Dolphin Theatre for four shows in October1993 and the role played by Jalyn Han was changed to Ang Gey Pin. After this, the script of 0zero01, as if frozen in the refrigerator, did not enjoy any reproduction.
I had used the original script of 1993 for my production at the Taipei National University of Arts in 2008. For those who have not attended the performance, a study of the script in the appendix (1) will help in reading and understanding this thesis.
I had attempted for two experiments in my production: First, I proposed to work with my actors/actresses to produce some “unperformed performance”. Second, I was to create an “unduplicable performance” through group improvisation. I could not make any final comment on these two experiments, but the audience’s feedback was precious and encouraging for the analysis and judgment of this 2008 0zero01 in Taiwan.
