| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 美術學系碩士在職專班 === 99 === In view of the unlimited extent of the cosmos and universe, human life can be simply so insignificant and momentary. With the life span mostly crammed with bitterness than joy, it is found with countless difficulty and challenge. As is well spoken, “undesirable things of life are reckoned to be of the primary portion,” thus mankind is hopelessly inescapable flowed and tumbled through the great deluge of time. For every undying and entangled, depressed, and upset life, they are found within constant bouncing and attempt to seek for the exit, so that everyone is leading a difficult and hard life unique of their own.
As we are confronted with the topsy-turvy environment of life as well as kinds of injustice with the community, there is always such a sense of unknown sadness and grudge behind my anger, and I would constantly ask myself, “What exactly happens to our community? For such massive pressure of life, unjust social system, and gradually collapsing ethic morality and deteriorating sense of value, is it possible that anyone can lead a happy life? Who can but find some kind of doubt and suspicion to the human goodness? In face of such fraud and deception as well as competition between men in our community, exactly who is capable to pay attention to their own moral uplift without thought of others? Exactly who is capable to be of themselves?”
Nonetheless, in times of difficulty the façade of life between everyone can be hardly the same because the choice would be different and so as their ways of doing. As such, the consequence can be quite different. Some have gradually taken to measures of compromise within the context of melting-pot of the community as they have fallen into notoriety and numbness. As for those who are not willing to accept measures of compromise, they are found into the life status of entanglement and suffering.
For any creation and even innovation, they are established upon life experiences and all of accumulated academic cultivation. This creation will, on one hand, work to explore the choice and way of confront when each life is exposed to dilemma, and it is hoped that the work can express my concern of de-encirclement and extrication for life trapped in difficulty as I conduct observation upon life in the community. On the other hand, I would hope to make use of painting skills and idea obtained from the pat to re-learn about the kaleidoscope of life through the sorting and investigation from diverse angles so that I can project and reflect various kinds of life emotion and imagery into my works, helping to seek for the exit out from the dilemma of my own life.
