The situatedness means the position in marital conflict of the wife, her perspective or attitude toward conflict, responses she makes during conflict, and the contextual background which formed her actions nowadays. For there are too many complex interpersonal relationship and daily trifles get involved in couple’s everyday life, a wife who was joining couple therapy was chosen as participant in order to focus on the pure interactions between her and her husband during conflict. Using the conversation analysis developed by Lee, W. L. (2004), researcher analyzes and interprets the record of the whole conversation in couple therapy; therefore, the situatedness of the wife can be revealed and realized. It is shown in three parts: (a) how the conflict begins: couple attacks each other. (b) trying to understand partner without defenses, (c) going through conflict: reconcile with each other. The research shows a picture in which a wife who experienced lots of anger and complaint in her marriage, was aware of herself and the relationship between her and her husband gradually. The wife realized how the complementarity works in the relationship and causes marital problems. Then the couple talked about the problems openly and honestly at the end of therapy, reconciling with each other. The conclusion is by the frame of four assessing steps in families and couples (Minuchin, Nichols, & Lee, 2007), discusses the situatedness and experiencing process of the wife in tree therapy sessions. The research tries to reveal and realize the essential of marital conflict; moreover, provides understanding and guidance for marital counselors and educators to intervene couple issues. By the restrictions and suggestions, future researchers can try different ways leads us into marital conflict. You, Shu-Yu 游淑瑜博士 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 170 zh-TW |
