Subjects of this study were 157 parents of Children with ADHD of elementary schools in Taipei City. Parents of Children with ADHD recruited from 50 elementary schools located in Taipei City, which was divided into the 12 regions. All parents were required to complete a self-determination questionnaire developed to understanding parents’ perceptions of self-determination of children with ADHD competency into four dimensions including Autonomy, Self-regulation, Psychological empowerment, and Self-realization. Data collected were analyzed using means, standard deviation, one way analysis of variance, and independence-samples T test. The findings of this study indicated: 1. Parents’ perceptions of self-determination of children with ADHD of elementary schools in Taipei City scored at normal level on the questionnaire and had an average self-determination as a whole. 2. In terms of self-determination on the dimensions of Self-regulation and Psychological empowerment are better than the dimensions of Autonomy and Self-realization. 3. There were significant differences in the sex of children with ADHD and the parents’ parenting style. 4. There were no significant differences in other domains. 蔡昆瀛 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 132 zh-TW
