The study use the nonequivalent-groups pretest-posttest designs from quasi-experimental method, and the objects are a group of grade six students selected from one of the elementary schools in Taoyuan County using non-random sampling method purposive sampling and divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received legal education courses from the junior edition textbook of recognizing authority, privacy, justice, and responsibility in F.D.C. in addition to the original legal education courses within the nine-year integrated curriculum, and the control group received only the legal education courses contain within the nine-year integrated curriculum. In addition to quantitative information from the experiment, qualitative observation of the teacher has also been taken into consideration for analysis and exploration. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The implementation of the "Foundation of Democracy Curriculum FDC" can significantly enhance the senior elementary school children's legal knowledge and attitude. 2. After adapting the "FDC” as a teaching material, a more positive legal attitude and more appropriate manners toward daily life can be observed in senior elementary students. 3. Seniors in elementary school show a significant positive correlation between legal awareness and legal attitude. 4. The implementation of "FDC " material into the original legal education curriculum can enhance elementary students’ legal knowledge and legal attitude. According to the findings, the researcher has some recommendations for future researchers and teachers intended to use “Foundation of Democracy Curriculum” as teaching materials for legal education in Taiwan. 齊力 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 108 zh-TW
