The first part is design a X-Band Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) which is an ultra-low voltage and low power 12-GHz VCO, and discuss about the effect of VCO’s oscillation signal at low operation voltage. Moreover, the way of improvement performance at low operation voltage have utilized in the VCO. The VCO made by TSMC 0.18-um CMOS process. After measurement, when the VCO operation voltage is 0.4 V which power consumption only 1.08 mW. And the measured phase noise is -110.2 dBc/Hz at 1-MHz offset from 12.76 GHz carrier. The VCO exhibits a tuning range of 5.72%. The VCO chip size is 0.795 x 0.745 mm2. The second part is RFID application for goods transportation. In transportation system, which needs a fast, wireless and long distance identifiable transfer system of goods, so we choose UHF RFID system to apply on transportation system for long -distance identification. Moreover, this is measurement the field of identifiable range for UHF RFID. The last part is using microcontroller (MCU) system by serial peripheral interface (SPI) communication to realize a recording system, and using a voice amplifier for big volume output.
