In the contrary, the power of the sensors is quite limited. Limited power, computing limitation of processor, and environment factors could affect the functions of WSN when sensor is working. Hence, it is an important issue about saving the power and extending the lifetime of sensors. In this thesis, we model the workflow of a microcontroller on the sensor by Petri Net. According to the model, we analyze power consumption effect of the sensor with different signal propagation frequencies. Besides, with the problem of signal propagation, we add the mechanism of a radio module to the original Petri Net microcontroller model. We can utilize it to observe the power consumption effect of the sensor when radio signal is doing propagation. In the experiment, we combine the parameters of wireless sensors with the Petri Net model. Moreover, we simulate the power consumption of the sensors in different scenarios.
