One GHG of particular interest is carbon dioxide because it is one of the most prevalent of all GHGs.How to reduce the carbon dioxide withdrawal to become the environmental science most important subject nowadays. Injecting CO2 into unminable coal seams has been proposed as a method to permanently sequester anthropogenic CO2 emissions. Injecting CO2 has been proposed as a method to enhance the production of methane from coalbed methane (CBM) operations in a process called CO2-enhanced coal bed methane (CO2-ECBM). Therefore the gas storage capacity is the key aspect which to the CO2 sequestration in coal. This research''s goal namely aims at CO2-enhanced coal bed methane and CO2 sequestration to construct a set the experiment instrument of coal adsorption.The set of equipment take the temperature and the pressure as the consideration, simulation the temperature and the pressure underground coal bed, posts the coal sample to measure Sorption Isotherm with CO2 gas. The tentative data carries on Langmuir Pressure and Langmuir Volume by fitting of the parameter with Langmuir Isotherm model. In addition carries of Proximate analysis and the maturity analysis on Taiwan and the Australian coal , in order to discuss the behavior of Sorption Isotherm with CO2 gas of coal. According to the result of soprtion experiment, find that Taiwan Sinping brook coal close carbon dioxide supercritical pressure (800 psi), its carbon dioxide gas storage capacity is 383 scf/ton, and the gas adsorption is quite consistent with the gas desorption. The pressure and the temperature for experimental are quite sensitive factor. According to the result of Langmuir Isotherm model analysis, discovered that the Sinping brook coal mine’s Langmuir Pressure is 117.4 psi, Langmuir Volume is 442.5 scf/ton. Finally compare the sorption capacity with Proximate analysis and Reflectance of Vitrinite measurement result on Taiwan and Australian coal, discovered that fixed carbon and ash content higher adsorptive capacity is also higher, and high maturity coal sample its sorption capacity also has the increase tendency.
