Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 99 === Cross-linked branched polymers containing chitosan particles were prepared via free radical polymerization of PEG prepolymers with tetraethyleneglycol diacrylate (TEGDA). And with mixing of chitosan particles be increased, the cell viability of the PEG polymers be increased by using MTT assay. It was found that the PEG polymers were highly bio-compatible with fibroblast. The high thermal stability was confirmed by the TGA, and it was found that the maximum decomposition temperature were 427.8℃~430.7℃. The glass transition temperatures of the PEG polymers were -32.0℃~-30.3℃and determined by differentia scanning calorimetry. The water-swelling ratio the PEG polymers were about 10.6~23.7%, the water content were about 9.6%~19.1%, which is dependent on the composition of monomers and chitosan. Furthermore, both of the tensile modulus and strength of the cross-linked polymers can be increased by the addition of chitosan particles. The tensile strength of the dried cross-linked polymers was 2.1~4.7 MPa, but the tensile strength deceased to 0.2~1.0 MPa after swellen by water. And after undergoing 30 day of enzymatic degradation, the weight loss of the bio-sealants was 22.5%~24.5%. We expected the synthesized cross-linked branched PEG polymer can be used as bio-sealant for surgical operation.
