The pore structure in a filter bed was characterized by the constricted tube models: the parabolic constricted tube (PCT). The effects of various shapes of the total interaction energy curves of DLVO theory and particle size, flow velocity and the gravitational forces on the initial single-collector efficiencies of colloidal particles are considered in the present thesis. From the simulation results, when in the absence of the DLVO repulsive energy barrier, we find that the initial collection efficiencies of colloidal particles will increase with the decrease of particle size. The efficiency will be affected by the three parameter values:NE1, NDL and NLO, there is a critical changed value existed for each of these three dimensionless groups, at which a sharp decrease of the initial collection efficiencies is observed. The initial collection efficiencies also increases with NG, but decreases with NE2. Chang You-Im 張有義 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 110 zh-TW
