Then design a circular plate mold with a central gate. A Taguchi L25 orthogonal array applied and the four factors as control factors. Using Moldex3D software to simulate the injection molding process and the energy consumption equations applied to calculate energy consumption in each stage. The volume shrinkage and the total displacement of the product are the two quality characteristics. The lowest energy consumption and the total displacement are the criteria. The packing time and mold temperature selected as the significant factors by using "half-criteria". In the result, the best process parameters can be clearly observed in the plots, the packing time 1-2sec, mold temperature 25-35℃, not only save energy and meet the quality requirements.
