Summary:碩士 === 慈濟大學 === 社會工作學系碩士班 === 99 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the satisfaction of main caregivers of children with developmental delays (DD) toward the evaluation services of Child Developmental Evaluation Centers in Taiwan. Methods: The caregivers of children with DD were a convenient sample, selected from the Child Developmental Evaluation Centers in 9 cities or counties. The inclusion criteria were the children with DD had their first evaluation at those centers. 510 self-designed satisfaction questionnaires have been mailed to the caregivers and 242 returned (return rate 47%). The satisfaction questionnaire was designed based on 5 constructs of PZB:Tangible、Reliability、Responsiveness、Assurance、Empathy,and other related factors of satisfaction. The satisfaction items were 4-point Likert scale. SPSS was used for data analysis. Results: Respondent were 80% female, with age range of 31 to 50 years, with educational level more than senior high school 75%. 50% was mother without paid job. For the overall satisfaction, 92% rated satisfaction for professionals and 89% for evaluation centers. The significant related factors with satisfaction were age and parental job. The number and type of assessing professionals were not significant influencing factors of satisfaction. Assessment time was the significant influencing factors of Responsiveness and Empathy satisfaction. The timing of reporting assessment results was the significant influencing factors of 5 satisfaction domains. The feeling of authority relations between parents and professionals was the significant influencing factors of 3 satisfaction domains. Discussion and Conclusions: The caregivers of children with DD were highly satisfied with the evaluation services in Taiwan.
