碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 人類性學研究所 === 99 === The objective of this research is to investigate the motive of psychiatric patients seeking for help from medical professional personals when they encounter sexual disturbance during the treatment which includes the way to express sexual desire or to understand the sexual body language in the relationship with spouse or sexual partner. The research method is based on the qualitative interview with psychiatric patients identified by psychiatric doctors using DSM-IV Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder. Six typical patients are then selected for deep interview for at least twice or three times and each interview is about one and half to two hours. The research study shows that psychiatric patients do have sexual disturbance problems that stifle their sexual pleasure. When these problems occur, patients usually respond in a negative way in the activities of masturbation, sexual fantasy, pornographic picture stimulation etc. professional sexuality health assistances are needed for these patients.
