碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 人類性學研究所 === 99 === The research aimed to study the reasons of Vietnamese female new immigrants involved in sex work , and the problems of their living adaptation .We observed and in-depth Interviewed 8 Vietnamese women whom we picked as research objects in kaohsiung , and found as follows: 1、The socioeconomic and family status of those female new immigrants in Taiwan is usually under middle or lower level . Hence they often face heavy pressure in their daily living and economy . This situation frequently causes the new immigrant couples to have fights. 2、We found that some of the interviewees faked a marriage for the opportunity to Taiwan . Once they get the qualification of residents or citizens , the couples end the marriage immediately . It is apparently that trans-national marriage without intimate relationships will not last long . And the interviewees also express that if they could find a job that can support their families , they would quit the industry of sex trafficking . 3、In the new immigrant families which are under heavy economic pressure and of inferior qualification to look for jobs , the interviewees usually complain that their Taiwanese husbands failed to take the responsibilities of supporting the family , as well as they are eager for the government`s help and the support of their own family members .
