Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 觀光學研究所(含碩專班) === 99 === The purposes of this study are: 1) the personal background affects the motivation and the needs of leisure; 2) the relationship between the performance of nonprofit organizations and the motivation and needs of leisure was investigated. The questionnaires were analyzed and discussed. The study sampled the visitors of the Taipei zoo, and the total of 480 questionnaires were distributed with 436 returned. The data were analyzed via using statistical testing. The results of this research were summarized as below: 1) the experience demand scores the highest, and the health needs scores the lowest among the five leisure need elements; 2) the motivation of relationship building score the highest, and social motivation scores the lowest among in the four leisure motivation elements; 3) leisure motivation as well as leisure needs are positively correlated toparticipation behavio; additionally, leisure motivatin and leisure needs are positively correlated to nonprofit organization’s performace. The study suggests that by combing the information and environment of the zoo to meet leisure needs and increase the nonprofit organization performance in order to strengthen educational behavior. In addition, by emphasizing the demand for tourist planning to enhance the themes, such as animal protection issues, can be focused.
