碩士 === 東吳大學 === 企業管理學系 === 99 === Abstract The gold is the highest of all the noble metals. Its attributes have been long different from those of other noble metals. It not only has the functions, such as the commodity, saving and investment, and what is more important is that the gold has the feature of the currency role. In recent years, under the situation that the international financial market changes unpredictably and economic performance is full of uncertainty, the gold possesses the anti-inflation and value preservation feature; therefore, it becomes an important tool of the capital hedge. In view of the principle of constructing the complete and overall futures market, Taiwan Futures Exchange (hereunder “TAIFEX”) listed and pushed the “gold futures valuated in USD”, which was also Taiwan’s first listed commodity futures. In addition, in consideration of domestic market demand, TAIFEX pushed forward the “gold futures valuated in NTD” to be listed in January 2008.As the international gold price often creates a new high one and with frequent transaction and investment, the real trading volume of Taiwan’s gold futures is not paid attention to by the market as expected, and its current trading volume presents the recession phenomenon. The study aims to develop the development strategy of Taiwan’s gold futures market and applies construction of value creation to make an exploration and analysis. To begin with, the study presents the key success factors according with Taiwan’s gold futures market with the key success factors of the gold futures market and the development strategy of the global three main successful gold futures markets and pursuant to the empirical research and in-depth interview with the industry experts and develops the prospective strategy of Taiwan’s gold futures market through the analytical tool and four actions framework. The study is provided to the practice field and competent authority to make the current or prospective commodity futures have more complete diversified thinking direction in design and promotion and further has positive help to prospective development of Taiwan’s gold futures market.
