To start with, excessive inventory will cause a heavy burden to enterprise’s capital while insufficient stock can lead to a tremendous effect or even a threat to an enterprise. Therefore, it is vital that the enterprise chooses the best ways to purchase.
Consignment is to reduce the inventory of the procurement, and it is most commonly used in the retail industry. More often than not, it is rarely employed in other industries, as there is still concern on its limitation and conditions on its effective implementation. Such being the case, my focus is to take a bus company as the research object, to figure out the key factors in consignment purchase, and to conduct a research on how it operates or is put into practice in reality. By this, I aim to come up with my own actual viewpoint and conclusion through inspection and in-depth interviews.
Through case studies, we understand, besides relevant measures concerning buyers and sellers, the implementation of consignment purchases rest on long-term basis of cooperation; consignment purchase comes to its best only when these above-mentioned multiple conditions or factors are in place.
