On account of its industrial relocation and gradual degeneration it led to a transformation. On the other hand, Mainland China has departed from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and developed its own brand to earn a place in the international market based on its strategy of producing sneakers at a lower price, which puts it apart from international brands such as Nike and Adidas, which sell at a higher price. Basketball is the most popular sport in Taiwan. The leading companies such as Nike and Adidas specialize in high-priced sneakers and then in medium-low priced. As a result of this, medium-low priced sneakers are the main theme for discussion referring to the developing strategy of its own brand in China. This paper generalizes three common design methods through analyzing sneaker markets: signature sneakers for star players, professional sneakers for functional demands, and professional sneakers for exclusive players. The signature sneakers rate the highest; the professional sneakers for exclusive players rate second highest, followed by the professional sneakers for functional demands. Through this analysis, the signature sneakers are fond of raising the selling price by utilizing the prestige of top players integrating with sneaker design and employing animal features to shoe design as reference materials. In addition, the lower selling price of professional sneakers is based on functional demands but not characterized by the animal features as design method. Thus, the main purpose of this study is to focus on my favorite of medium-low priced professional sneakers for functional demands by using animal features in sneakers. In the process of design, the functional demands of position players are initially categorized: speed and power to find in accordance with animals: cheetah and black bear. Secondly, to design two pairs of sneakers through analyzing animal figures and its sports features. The final process is to test and verify the outcome by interviewing specialists in designing, manufacturing and marketing and by conducting a questionnaire survey of consumers. For the specialists in designing, manufacturing and marketing, I will find out what they think of the practicality of the study. And for consumers, the survey will test if they like my sneaker design compared with other sneakers. As a result, utilizing animal features to intensify medium-low priced professional sneakers of functional demands is a practical method and selecting adequate animals and applying animal features in integration to enhance knowledge and preferences of consumers to sneakers.
