Summary: | 碩士 === 實踐大學 === 家庭研究與兒童發展學系碩士班 === 99 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of retired re-employment needs and occupational selection tendency. The subjects participated in Taishan Vocational Training Centre and North Vocational Training Centre of the baby boom generation student courses.
In order to achieve the objectives of the research mentioned above, questionnaire survey method was adopted. The research tool is “The survey questionnaire on the retired re-employment need and occupational selection tendency”. 400 of questionnaires were sent out, whereby 371 were responded, 366 effective, and the effective responding rate was 91.5%. The data collected was analyzed with independent sample t-test t, one-way ANOVA, chi-Square test, contingency coefficient and multinomial logistic regression analysis. The major conclusion of this study included:
1. The retired re-employment needs of fifth grader of baby boomers was good.
2. “Good health status”, “insufficient family economies” of fifth grader of baby boomers has high retired re-employment motivation.
3. Baby boomers have good willing to re-employment, and after retirement, they will find another new job.
4. Gender is the main predisposing factors influence on occupational selection.
5. Retirement re-employment needs and occupational selection tendency render a positive correlation.
6. Retirement re-employment needs could predict occupational selection tendency, which "security needs" are predicting.
Recommendations were made of 4 dimensions:
1. Recommendations for government
(1) Short- term-- establish the retired personnel database, and use of retired human resources.
(2) Interim--increase the incentives to encourage retired re-employment.
(3) Long- term-- offer the plural retired way, in order to ensure the life in old age.
2. Recommendations for vocational training council
(1) Establish special classes for the retired re-employment persons.
(2) In response to demand, business-related courses offered.
3. Recommendations for baby boomers
(1) Third grader--postures to increase re-employment opportunities.
(2) Fourth grader--according to individual needs to choice career.
(3) Fifth grader--lifelong learning, training expertise.
4. Recommendations for relative subsequent studies
Propose reference for future studies in terms of sample, tool,methods and variables of research.
