Description
Summary:碩士 === 實踐大學 === 家庭研究與兒童發展學系碩士班 === 99 === The purpose of this study was to explore the internal state of self for the three participants who are in a relationship through their symbolic objects or their behaviors at home. By using interpretative phenomenological analysis and visible media like drawings, the researcher tried to understand the three participants’ household experience and their choices of symbolic objects which represent their internal self. The researcher put the clues together and gave them contextual meanings to form the context, which was then analyzed and interpreted. The results of the research, as mentioned above, were classified into three categories as follows: 1. The prototype such as the desk and chair, the doll, and the door can possibly be seen as self-symbols and the subjective meanings were created by the participants themselves. 2. The analyses and the objective meanings of the prototypes stated above were used for the exploration of the psychological phenomenon for the participants’ self-image. 3. Some identical phenomena were discovered through the discussions, including the internal state of self in the relationship and the value of existence for the self based on the other’s point of views. The researcher also proposed some suggestions for professional counselors.
