As for the business initiation, the establishment process involved the changes of multiple steps and was a continuous evolution process from innovation, growth to stable. During the whole process, multiple factors exerted their influence and resulted in a complicated evolution process. Thus, entrepreneurial was a dynamic, complex and integrated process. To deal with the risks derived from these unpredictable changes, a successful entrepreneur must possess the courage and competence to conquer these potential challenges and only in this way could the entrepreneur achieve the best entrepreneurial performance. Due to the significance of entrepreneurial competencies, the sample of research surveyed 45 entrepreneurs who are awarded the prize of business startup by small and medium enterprise administration ministry of economic affairs and compares the functional difference among the three initiation models: the technology-niche industry, the innovative traditional industry, and the strategic knowledge-niche service industry. Finally, the research found that the technology-niche industry regards learning competence was the most critical capability compared with others, the innovative traditional industry voted for strategic setting competence, while the strategic knowledge-niche service industry selected innovation as the most crucial competence.
