He can not only express the ideas of calligraphy fluently by “The Poetry of Calligraphy” but also expand it by creative experiences and the aesthetic standard of calligraphy. There are forty-six poetry of Huang Tingjian’s “The Poetry of Calligraphy” which is the highest number in four calligraphers of the Sung Dynasty. The content reflectes the esthetic ideas and creation ideological trend of calligraphy, such as comparing the different style and the performances between calligraphers, singing and reciting the writing-set and the rubbing from a stone inscription and ect. There are forty-eight in Huang Tingjian calligraphy art creations and most of them are regular script, running script and cursive style. Morever, they have highly accomplishments. Therefore, Huang Tingjian is a extremely creative-spirit calligrapher. This essay is studied by list anfd form, analytical metod, induction and graphical method. We realize that most of the creations are seven-word ancient poems of Huang Tingjian’s The Poetry of Calligraphy. As for writing subeject matters, he focuses on the critical poem which expresses about the art of asthetic thinking. There are four specialties-to highly praise 王羲之, to describe cursive style of calligraphy by the symbol of“shocking snake”and “dragon-snake,”to describe the posture of 銀鉤 and蠆尾, and to make poem through Su Shi. Because of the same polictical view and personalities, Huang Tingjian and Su Shi concern with each other and devolpe a cherish relationship like the taecher and the student or friends. Huang Tingjian’s intire life, the creation of The Poetry of Calligraphy the develop processing of calligraphy style, and the number of creation have strong connection with Su Shi Before the first time Huang Tingjian visited Su Shi, he was forty years old. At that time, he had more than eighteen poetry of calligraphy but has not gone into the calligraphy creation seriously. The “beginning” product was the only one in the world. During eight years of Yuan-you for, Huang Tingjian became Su’s student, and his creation increases to eighteen. This “developing time” is the most plentiful one. After studing from Tungpo, Huang Tingjian has learned from several teachers. His calligraphy art creation has had fifteen. The last twelve years, Huang Tingjian had relegated for several times,teachers and friends leaved, he spent less time creating poem. The number of the poetry of calligraphy dropped to ten suddenly. However, his calligraphy creation shows exuberant energy, the famous creation number is more than thirty-two. It may be said that Huang Tingjian breaks the old rules and develop a new style of himself. When Huang Tingjian was young, it was the great time of his poetry of calligraphy, and the calligraphy art creation reached the top when he was old. The poetry of calligraphy has not only the quality but also the quantity. This achievement is unusual all over the world. To understand the different style of others calligraphers , to know the extensive meanings of the calligraphy,and get rid of the conventions are two key points of Huang Tingjian’s thinking. Beside the knowledge and the accomplishment, a calligrapher should have great mind,so that he can write the calligraphy without the vulgar style. Huang Tingjian has tough personality. He always concentrates on the speculation and thinks how to do and create it. He pursued his unique style ,combined the poetry of calligraphy and calligraphy art creation together. To research the content of his poetry, we can not only know his aesthetic standard, the fascinating of the calligraphy art creation, see the change but also understand his outstanding personality.
