A total of 33 teachers and 982 students at 11 medium-to-large size schools participated in this study by convenience sampling. Based on the results, the researcher found: 1. The elementary school teachers as a whole had high multicultural literacy proficiency on self-checklists. 2. There were no significant differences in teachers’ multicultural literacy proficiency in terms of teachers’gender, age, service year and training hours on multicultural education. 3. The elementary school students as a whole had reported positive teacher-student relationship. 4. There were significant differences in teacher-student relationship in terms of students’ gender, class and school. 5. The elementary school teachers’ multicultural literacy proficiency could not effectively predict teacher-student relationship. Practical suggestions were provided according to the findings above.
