Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 社會工作與兒童少年福利學系 === 99 === The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the tough conditions of working poor female single-parent families as well their poverty-extricating in the model of Atypical Employment. To achieve our goals in this study, in-depth interview is took to collect and analysis the qualitative data of eight working poor female single-parent families excluded from Social Act. The findings are as follows: First, the female single-parent families are mainly Atypical Employment owing to problems in children caregiving. Second, the family of their husbands and their own ones provide limited support, thus the families that established by themselves are most reliable. Third, working poor female single-parent families usually have troubles in earning a living, so informal supporting systems seem more important. Fourth, female single families often unable to make ends meet; therefore, saving money or finances managing such as repaying are difficult for them. Fifth, physical and mental diseases are likely suffered by disadvantaged minorities due to serious pressure in daily lives. Sixth, in addition to economical subjects, working poor female single-parent families have complicated problems like health insurance owed and having no fixed houses. Based on the above-mentioned discoveries and discussions, we have several suggestions. First, relax the restrictions on poverty line, and adjust the amount of the subsidy in right time. Second, ensure the rights of the Atypical Employees. Third, amend the cost counted in terms of the population of the National Health Insurance, and advertise the solutions of health insurance money owed. Fourth, assist the single-parent families to solve the problems of children care-giving, so that they can get jobs easily. Fifth, improve and create the loan mechanism for the poor families.
