Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 社會工作與兒童少年福利學系 === 99 === The purpose of this study was to explore the relationships among perceived sexual harassment, attitude, and coping strategy of the college students in Taichung area. It is a quantitative research with a self-constructed questionnaire. The samples were drawn from 8 randomly selected colleges and universities with 90 samples each. There were 720 questionnaires collected, but only 603 were valid. The returning rate was 87%. The data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation. The major findings are presented as below:
1.The college students in Taichung area have perceived sexual harassment when the seriousness of sexual harassment is high.
2.The lower the sexual harassment attitude is, the lower tolerance gets.
3.College students in Taichung area would choose coping strategy when facing sexual harassment.
4.There is a significant difference between different genders of the college students in perceived sexual harassment, attitude and coping strategy. Female students have higher perceived sexual harassment than male students.
5.The gender proportion differences make significant differences in sexual harassment attitude.
6.The personal sexual harassment experiences make significant differences in positive sexual harassment coping strategy and sexual harassment attitude.
7.The higher perceived sexual harassment is, the more obvious coping strategy appears.
8.The lower sexual harassment tolerance is, the more positive coping strategy appear.
According to the findings, recommendations are proposed for the educational policy making, school operation, and the future research.
