Summary: | 碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 音樂學系碩士班中國音樂組 === 99 === This research confines the scope in three contemporary works, Star Dust; Like Wind, Floating in the Air, Like Dance, Waving in the Wind, and Mists at Dawn, which were composed between 2004 and 2008. Even though it hasn’t been long since the works were composed, they have been used comprehensively in music contests, exams and concerts. I hope to refine the performance of these three works into a more exquisite stage by analyzing music formation.
The research breaks down into five chapters. Chapter one, introduction, includes research motivation and purpose, research method and sequence, literature review. Chapter two to chapter four are music formation analysis which consist of composition background, music structure analysis and performance hermeneutic analysis Star Dust; Like Wind, Floating in the Air, Like Dance, Waving in the Wind, and Mists at Dawn respectively. Chapter five, the conclusion.
In chapter two to chapter four, I presented three works by using music structure analysis and performance hermeneutic analysis. Performance hermeneutic analysis can be divided into three parts: timbre, tempo and character of play. Three works are much alike in timbre that they have a plenty of Level change. The composer has used a rather restraintless tempo, so that enriches performers’ imagination. The composers of Star Dust and Mists at Dawn are both zheng performers. They employed individual fingerings in composing these two works. However, the composer of Like Wind, Floating in the Air, Like Dance, Waving in the Wind, a full-time composer, possesses a romantic style. His melody often impresses audience with romantic feeling.
