Summary: | 碩士 === 國立聯合大學 === 光電工程學系碩士班 === 99 === Axially symmetric polarized beams gain much interest in recent years, because the spot of beam focus can beyond the diffraction limit and has the extremely strong vertical electric field. These specific characteristics can be employed in optical tweezers, high-density optical storage, or high-resolution microscopy etc. Radially and azimuthally polarized beams were the most two popular and valuable modes in the axially symmetric polarization field. In this thesis, two configurations, one modified Sagnac interferometer and one reshaped Michelson interferometer, for generating axially symmetric polarized beams were proposed. We demonstrated the mode and polarization conversions from a linear polarized TEM01 mode to the axially symmetric polarized donut mode while the beam was passed through the interferometer, and analyzed the quality and stability of converted beams by use of those two interferometers. In the future, the modified interferometers will be composed solid state and compact elements to stable generate axially symmetric polarized beams.
