Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 99 === Consumer electronic products are highly competitive. Reducing the development cycle of the product and rolling out new products which are suitable for the market have become topics of interest for most major companies. During the design process of product development, we observe that we often use similar or identical features. These features should not require engineers to design the size and structure step-by-step. Our study proposes the concept of a Feature Database. The basic operations include linking Pro/E features using size and building the relationship between sizing dimensions and features. We then use the user-defined feature (UDF) to create feature files. Referencing the links, the geometric referencing criteria of the feature file is defined. The features can then be added and used in the feature management system developed in our study. This helps to shorten the drawing time for engineers and provides more planning time for design. This study uses Pro/Toolkit in Pro/Engineer and MFC in Visual C++ as the core programs to develop an expandable feature management system. The system provides users with diagrams and corresponding texts, allowing users to intuitively select the desired feature and to define feature sizes. At the same time, following the procedures for adding new feature data, users can expand and build their own feature database. This is expandable and practical.
