After picking, they will be transferred to another packing material, paper box, for shipping, or directly shipping without changing packing material. Therefore, how to efficiently utilize the space of the logistics box for packing is the major issue for logistics. If the packing efficiency is low, it could increase quantity of box, more costs would be required for shipping and related manpower.
These costs course significant influence for profits of the companies, especially during the age of low gross margin for logistics.Packing issues depend on features of products. For instance, there are tremendous different features among books, toys and drugs. The process of packing will be different for each one of them, and the issues that they may encounter will be different as well.
This paper focuses on the features of logistics picking system for the medical manufactory. To investigate how to utilize information and related picking mechanisms during picking process to increase the efficiency of picking in warehouse, to reduce the costs, and finally to increase profits.
