Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 建築系 === 99 === In 20th century houses had a huge of demand because of W.W.I.. To solve this question, Le Corbusier found an answaer from industry, hoped houses could be build as fast as industry produced commodity. Prototype is a concept of Le Corbusier’s houses which comes from industry. Aarchitect made a model for house before built, and each parts of model can be continuously copy. It influenced house idea of modern architecture. This research has several purposes: how prototype develops in Le Corbusier’s houses and find out types and concepts of prototype.
The main method of houses analysis is to divide a house into two parts: building itself and external factors. Building itself can be seen as construction and space. Behind these parts are the architect’s original concepts. By analyzing Le Corbusier’s concept design house cases and theories, houses’ techniques and prototypes can been seen clearly. Relationship between design strategies, architect’s original concept and development of prototypes, these results of non-client house cases’ analysis will be compared with Le Corbusier’s built houses cases. The conclusions have four points:
1.Le Corbusier has a concept prototype; it consists of form, construction and space. These also can be contrasted with three layers of houses: modern, economy and comfort.
2.Concept prototype had been used in early house design. After 1930, external factors joined in house design which changed house prototypes. Types of prototypes can be categorized as concept-connected and strategies-connected.
3.House theories conform to house prototypes, but space theories are under the construction theories.
4.The relationship between non-client house cases and built houses cases is based and higher version.
