碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 多媒體動畫藝術學系碩士班 === 99 === This animation, “God of Death”, is based on the conflicts between the eastern and western concept of transmigration which enrich many joy in the scene. In the story, the Taoism represents eastern religion, and the Christian represents western religion. The characters are referred from the various type of temple art of God Of Death in Taiwan. Beside, the whole scene using cartoonic and personalized render technique in stead of realism increase the interesting of the creativity and visualization in this short animation. The synopsis as follow: The Seventh and Eighth Lords who are polices in God of Death come to take away the alcoholic’s life. Yet the alcoholic take out the cross and request to be a sheep in God’s flock to get away from eastern hell and transmigration.The angle comes to rescue the alcoholic as result. The angle and God of Death start to fight with each other to fulfill their double-book missions. In script not only the personalized God of Death stands in total contrast to innocent angle but their jobs also differ. With different religion in different culture, the character leading people to the other world varies. The animation starts like a Horror movie and turn to go with some non-sensical funny parts to express the ideas of life and death and introduce the Seventh and Eighth Lords in Taiwan Temple.
