This study focused on current vocational training plans, explored the curriculum content and its connection with technician certification skill tests. The conclusive suggestions of this study could be a reference for the future cabinet making courses in correctional institutions. An approach of questionnaire investigation was used in this study. The questionnaire consisted of two sections. The first is the self-estimation of learning achievement. The second was the assessment of curriculum content and instruction. The questionnaire was developed baesd on the analysis of related literatures. Reliability and validity of the questionnaire using a pilot test was carried out. The participants of the study were fifty trainees of the cabinet-making courses in Yun-Lin Correctional Institution. The following conclusions were addressed after the analysis of survey data. 1) Based on analyzing the self-estimation of learning achievement, on average, the trainees had better performances on measured skills, followed by machinery assembling skills, painting skills, skills for using tools, manual skills, using materials, drawing machinery plans, and operating machinery. 2) Based on analyzing the assessment of curriculum content and instruction, the trainees are more satisfied with certificate examination, followed by teacher training courses, and equipment use.
