Reflective optics is a technology not only can make the space application become more efficient and flexible, but also has the advantage that it induces low chromatic aberrations. For nowadays optical systems are asked to light weight and small size, it is an important topic to use reflective optics effective to achieve the goal. In this thesis, two image systems combining reflective and refractive optics are studied. The first system is a compact 2X zoom image system with MEMS deformable mirror that can cover a 5M pixel image sensor with pixel size 1.4μm × 1.4μm. It is only 11 mm in thickness. The second system is a compact head-up display (HUD) for automobile features both functions of head-up display (HUD) system and instrument panel with only one source. Guo-Dung J.
