The relationship between the cognition of cultural heritage savings and post-visiting behaviors is also discussed. A survey of convenient sample about the cultural ruins in Peinan was conducted and 394 valid responses were obtained. Results indicate that there is a significant difference in male and female tourists’ cognition of cultural heritage savings. The respondents’ post-visiting behaviors significantly differ in their demographic variables such as their living area, number of visits, and visiting experience. Also, there is a significantly positive relationship between the indices of “cognition of cultural heritage savings” and “post-visiting behaviors” which shows that tourists’ have high cognitive values for their belief, opinions, knowledge of the “historical meaning,”“cultural cognition,” “cultural value,” and “social responsibility” toward the cultural ruins in Peinan. As a result, the common cognition to conserve cultural heritage is regarded as important and meaningful throughout history. The study provides suggestions to relevant official units such as enhancing the historical meaning of cultural heritage, reinforcing the introductory function of tour guide to educate the value of cultural conservation, motivating tourist’ cultural interests and attitude of recognition, and connecting to worldwide festivals to increase the exploration of the ruins to build up cultural cities. Further, the study also provides suggestions to travel agencies which include arranging the sites with cultural knowledge as the priority into travel programs, promoting travel tickets with cultural topics. The limitations and suggestions for future studies are also discussed. Chen,Mei-Fen 陳美芬 博士 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 108 zh-TW
