Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 美術產業碩士學位在職進修專班 === 99 === The purpose of this study is to explore the current application of paintings in the medical institute of Taitung City ,to render different medical aspects on creation of oil paintings and to find the researcher’s style, creative concept, interpretation, and explanation of his work. The methodology employed in this study includes literature review, field surveys, field visits, and ideas gathered through researcher’s twenty-four years of personal experiences. The researcher collects what he has seen, heard, and felt as a medical doctor as the contents and subjects of his creative work. Through twenty-one pieces of his work, the researcher recounted “the white great tower” stories on different medical aspects. The work altogether is divided into three main series: (A) series of medical equipment and inspection—presenting the current advanced medical equipment; (B) series of doctor-patient care—describing daily clinic activities; (C) series of medical meditation—concerning the mystery of the human body, the causes of sicknesses, importance of nutrition, medical staff’s hard work and ultimately pointing out the conclusion of medical services—love. With this creative work, the researcher tried from perspectives of realism, figurative, impressionism, surreal, fauvism, semi-abstract painting to interpret his own painting style. Of the important findings, the major one is that nine of thirty-four medical clinics in Taitung City did not have any paintings. Two representative paintings were taken from those twenty-five clinics with paintings in their clinics for discussion and analysis. The study finds that the major collection item is oil painting and the most common subject matter is landscape and people. These items mostly are of warm color tone with realism and figurative as their common styles. Obviously there is a lack of creation on medical services. In this study, the creative subject content is mostly based on the local medical personnel and scenery spots in Taitung City. This study takes an initiative step to explore how creative oil paintings were used in medical services. Finally, the suggestions and recommendations were made from the results of the study to provide reference information for further studies.
