Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系(所) === 99 === The purposes of this study were trying to figure out what kinds of different stress releasing strategies used by directors of the elementary school in Taitung county. The study adopted the questionnaire method. The name of questionnaire was the work stress and stress releasing method used by the directors in Taitung county. There were 130 valid questionnaires retrieved and analyzed with statistics software- SPSS 12.0, t test, one way ANOVA and Pearson Product- Moment correction.
Major findings of the study listed as following:
The most of the pressure suffered by the directors were from「work’s burden」. The stress releasing methods taken by the directors was 「rational thinking」. The directors, whose age under 30 took more pressure from professional knowledge than those above age 51.
The directors whose seniority between 11 to 15 years took more pressure from 「adaptation of variation」than those seniority below 5 years. In different school atmosphere item-working in 「estranged type」school suffered more pressure from「the whole working pressure」and「adaptation of variation」 than working in open and devoting type school. The directors worked under style of leadership「more preach and less concern type」of principle took more pressure from 「inter conflict」.
The directors worked in general area and Taitung city using more rational thinking, and resolving problems approach than those directors who worked in off-shore Island and Taitung county. The directors who suffered low pressure more often took「problem resolve」,「rational thinking」 as the main approach. The directors who suffered high pressure more of the took「delay and escape」as the main strategy to cope with stress.
The directors who worked in a school which class amount between 25~36 more often used「the whole working pressure」,「self-adjustment」to reduce pressure. The male directors more often took 「delay and escape」strategy to cope with stress than female directors.
