| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 藝術與造形設計學系碩士班 === 99 === The origins of the abstract art in the beginning of the 20th century have close relation with the music. Among all kinds of arts, music is always not an art that presents the nature phenomena. Instead, music is a medium that expresses one’s spirits and an activity that touches one’s deepest subconsciousness. “Creation” is the connection and shift between “technic” and “spirit”, and music is always a shelter for the author. Therefore, the emotional moments from listening to the music inspired the author “paints the music” through lines, graphics, and colors. Art creation is the combination of the life experience and art medium specialities, and the author believes that the artist can touch one’s heart and convey the true value of sincerity only if he can depict the breathtaking moments of life.
In the series of creation about< A Study of Synesthesia in Painting and Music>, the author build the creative thinking through analytic theory and formal researchs. With objective recogniton of music background and subjective emotions and consciousness, based on the aesthetic experience and taking the presented technique in painting of music for reference, the author transfers the “flowing” music into “motionless” paintings. The study main structure includes: 1. Reference for theses and quotation of works 2. Ideas of the creations and execution 3. Narration of the works. By clarifying the theory and creating, the author keeps improving attainment both in the music and paintings.
The series of creation are very different from the former ones that are more realistic and impromptu. Through self-reflection, investigation and modification once and again, the author experienced a new vision on different media and ideas of art creations. In conclusion, the author expects to present the image beauty of music expressed in the abstract ,break through the set pattern, enhance the author own creation level, and develop more and various possibilities in arts.
