This thesis probes how female artist figures are constructed by the mass media──films, and also focus on how the film to “modernize” artists’ works with its language, proceed to the next step, to use artists’ tones to develop itself. Films make use of its own materials and grammers to provoke women──the excluded ones in Art History while films are regarded as a social, historical vision with new explanatory comments, which shows the images of marginalized female artists, and leads us to see if these women get beyond the rational patriarchy by means of creating their art works.
