Attempting to highlight the differences and similarities between two writers through the analysis and dissection, and try to construct the common experiences of the Japanese Colonial Period writers. The first chapter explains the motivation and the objective of this thesis, through the reference material to contemplate my shortcoming. In addition not to conclude anything unjust, this thesis is analyzed by historical, will anything not be viewed in the wrong epoch. Chapter two discusses the language ability of Lyuu Heh-Ruo and Yang Kui, it’s not abnormal that there are lots of intellectual who could use the language of colonizing country so well, even got the literature prize of the colonizing country. Seeing this circumstance, the language should be discussed first. The language policy is the great minute of colony. But we still have to remember that the postcolonial theory is limited by time. The Japanese experience is the main objective of this thesis, the Japanese experience of generalized even could include the reaction first heard the word of “Japan”. Therefore, we will start to base on the texts of Lyuu Heh-Ruo and Yang Kui at chapter three, trying to discover the mark which was produce by Japanese culture. Furthermore, observe the conversions of “be born in Taiwan”, “study at Japan” and “turn back to Taiwan” these three steps. Chapter six proposes the conclusion of full thesis as ending.
