Through the participants involved in teacher professional growth and development activities, the researchers could analyze and conclude the knowledge on reading instruction and change of attitude for teachers, the influence on reading instruction in terms of development activity types; and teachers’ feelings towards the engagement in different activities of personal development growth. To achieve the said goals, the researcher selects qualitative method, including interviews, observations, and documents to collect data as well as to explore the progress of teachers in self-learning, group interactions, development; in addition, the change of the thoughts, methods, and attitudes toward reading instruction. The conclusions of this study are as follow: 1. The alteration of the objective on reading instruction for teaching is through the attraction of reading comprehension and which moreover leads to constant reading. The method involves many trials, multiple dimensional cooperative learning and tactics. The attitude is transited from heteronomy and autonomy of the will to finally self-realization. 2. The type of the activities of professional growth and development is not only derived from teacher’s self-learning but also from graduate school. The theory and practicality from the faculty provides teachers a great source to integrate teaching knowledge and experience. Furthermore, the journal clubs offer multilateral reading materials and opportunities of thinking, effectively improve teachers’ abilities on reading instruction for teaching. Finally, the implement of the result of the research helps put the knowledge into practice. 3. With the awareness and review of the practical experience in teaching which inspires teachers’ enthusiasm as well as challenges themselves in transforming the interaction among people to be fulfilled. Based on the results, the researcher provides the suggestions for on-side teachers, administration department in educational institutions and future researchers accordingly and is in the hope to offer invaluable reference for the future.
